ABOUT LUCAS

The brains of our operation, Lucas Broussard, was born and raised in Kaplan, Louisiana and still calls it his home. He started playing music at 4 years old, and has been playing professionally since he was 12. Lucas hates to be called “talented” (because of the amount of work he’s put into to mastering his craft), but his skill is undeniable.

Whether he's on the stage playing, or behind the board mixing, he's always the maestro.

When he plays he can’t help but channel guitarists Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Warner and John Lennon, but his love for Paul McCartney often shines through in his song selection and style.

Lucas loves musicians with technical expertise, as long as they “play like the poor man.” Some of his favorites are The Beatles, Steely Dan and front-man Donald Fagen, Thelonius Monk, and Nat King Cole Trio. And as far as his contemporaries and clients go, he tends to bring the best out of people regardless of their goals.

He’s a masterful teacher, producer and engineer - but everything he does has one common thread...music.

WHY RAVIS?

Our studio's namesake, Ravis "Pop" Broussard, was a man of many talents. He was an artist, a craftsman, and most importantly a father-figure and confidant.

Ravis saw beauty in all art forms, and was an accomplished photographer himself. He was a constant reminder of hard work and perseverance and lives on today in the work we do.

If something is done the "Ravis Way" you can be assured it will be planned and executed with quality as the top priority. Our process may be more cumbersome, require more precision, and take longer, but the results speak for themselves.
